Keep the rack fully visible
Frame the image so every visible point stays inside the photo. Avoid cutting off tine tips or main beams. Move only as close as you safely and ethically can, then use the original high-resolution image instead of a screenshot.
Use a natural angle
A straight-on or modest three-quarter view can show spread, tine arrangement and beam shape together. Extreme angles can make one antler look larger and hide the other behind it.
Watch the background
Branches, tall grass and heavy shadows may blend into the rack. When photographing a harvest, choose a clean background when possible. For trail-camera images, select a frame with the least motion blur and the clearest separation between antlers and vegetation.
Avoid digital distortion
Heavy zoom, compressed messaging-app copies and aggressive filters remove detail. Upload the original image whenever possible. If the buck is very small in the frame, use another closer photo instead of enlarging a low-resolution crop.
